Re: Redstone Water & Sewer Billing Cycle

This memo is to inform the Village owners of the Redstone water and sewer billing cycle.

On 03/10/04, the Village Directors voted unanimously not to include Water/Sewer billing in our quarterly assessments. This decision was followed up with a memo to all Village owners on 03/25/04 indicating Redstone would be billing them directly. Starting with the May 2004 Village Association assessment, water and sewer costs are no longer included in your fees.
We pay an exorbitant amount for Water/Sewer at Bolton Valley and most Associations on the mountain do not include Water/Sewer in their assessments. Including Water/Sewer artificially inflates the Village Association assessments to a prospective property buyer.
Redstone is billing about the same total amount for both Village complexes as what was included in the Village fees for water/sewers costs; however there is a slight unit cost difference in how the charges are distributed among the owners. Redstone’s distribution of the charges is based on the number of bedrooms of a unit, versus our Association was distributing the charges in accordance with our by-laws percent of undivided interest.
