Re:        Village Water Heater Replacement

In an effort to mitigate water damage to your unit and to curtail insurance claims against our Association, the electric hot water heater in your unit has been identified as past its manufactures suggested end of service and needs to be replaced. Your unit’s hot water heater is rented from Green Mountain Power and will be replaced at no charge with the signing of a three-year rental lease. However, the Village Association is requiring a drip pan be installed at the owner’s expense for about twenty-five dollars.

We are coordinating the replacement of six hot water heaters in our complex with Green Mountain Power for the April/May 2004 time frame. You will notify of the exact date two weeks prior to the actual installation. Our Property Agent, Joe Boylan will be available to facilitate the installation and you are not required to be on-site during the installation.

Enclosed are two identical copies of the standard Green Mountain Power Corporation Electric Water Heater three-year term lease agreement.

Please perform the following:

1)       Read and understand the agreement

2)       Indicate in the Model No. field the size tank you wish, 85, 75 or 50 gallon

3)       Sign the bottom of the agreement, in the Customer’s Signature field

4)       Retain one copy of the agreement for your records and mail the completed form with the postage paid envelope provided
